I have a 211 imported new to Dubai Dec 2003. (pic att) I have changed furling jib to North UK one design racing jib with good results, reduced wx helm inc speed etc. I also have an assymetric spinnaker so the bow pole info is v. useful (list of upgrade/mod suppliers would be handy) I fitted a Spinnlock Powervang in place of the kicking strap. Works well and provides support for the boom when the main is lowered. I can take some pictures if you want them for the site.

Do you have any feedback from the rear traveller mod? It's my next change to "Sarnia" if it has no bad side- effects.
