Beneteau First 210 Tech Notes
From: Lazaros Polymenakos
My question concerns the hoisting of the boat with a 'club' crane.
I attach a sketch showing a strap configuration for hoisting the f210 with
a yacht club crane while using only 2 straps connected directly to the crane hook.
The crane is capable of hoisting loads up to 2 tons but the crane hook
cannot be put much higher than shown in the sketch.
This makes the true angle between the straps and the deck about 40 degrees,
for the part of the straps between deck and the crane hook.
My question is whether the above configuration and the strap-deck angle is
sufficient to hoist the boat safely and without making any damage to the boat structure.
Any suggestions from you or any other Ben-owner for a better solution for
hoisting the boat safely in the given crane situation would be most welcome!
