Title: Specifications of First 210

There are not many reporting stations on the 210 PHRF racing handicap. Only 120 boats seem to exist in the U.S. Maybe only 10 or 25 ever raced? Here are approximate dimensions on the First 21.0 and First 21.0 Classic, based on Factory literature I have seen:

LOA 21.00 ft
LWL 19.67 ft
DISP 2,500 LBS
BEAM 8.17
BALLAST 800 LBS
DRAFT-SWING KEEL 5,92 FT (5'' 11")
DRAFT-BULB KEEL 2.92 FT (2' 11")
I=28.18', J=7.87', P=27.03', E=9.35'

RATED SAIL AREA 237.25 SQ FT
MAIN + 100% JIB RATED SA = 237.25 SQ FT
FORE TRI RATED SA = 110.89 SQ FT
MAIN RATED SA = 126.37

SPIN POLE LENGTH = 7.87 ft
SPIN LUFF = 28.2 ft
SPIN MIDGIRTH WIDTH = 14.4 ft
APPROX SPIN SA = 400 sq ft

RSA/DISP = 22.45
SA/DISP = 22.45
DISP/LNGTH = 129.05
BAL RATIO = 36.36

ESTIMATED ACTUAL SAIL AREA ON MY FIRST 21.0 CLASSIC # 58:

MAIN = 160 Sq ft (North Nordac 4800 Club Race with full top batten and loose foot)
100% JIB (Maximum Possible due to outboard shroud locations) = 110 Sq Ft (North Nordac 4800 Club Race)
MAIN + JIB = 270 Sq Ft
SPIN (Schurr 3/4 oz genl purpose tri-radial symetrical) = 440 Sq. Ft.
MAIN + SPIN = 600 Sq Ft

LAKE LANIER PHRF RATINGS:

BASE PHRF = 195 FOR SWING KEEL "FIRST 21.0"

ADJUSTED PHRF FOR "FIRST 21.0" = 195 + 9 Credit for max 100% jib vs. 155% genoa = 204

BASE PHRF FOR "FIRST 21.0 CLASSIC" = 195 + 6 Credit for shoal draft keel = 201.

ADJUSTED PHRF FOR "FIRST 21.0 CLASSIC" = 201 + 9 Credit for max 100% jib vs. 155% genoa = 210.

OTHER AREA PHRFS heard of ratings from 205 to 208 for First 21.0

PORTSMOUTH RATINGS = 93 TO 97 (not many stations reporting)

Approx actual boat weight with 4HP motor, sails, gear, etc. = 2,800 lbs

Custom Trailer designed for F21.0 Made By WESTCO, West Columbia, SC USA- single axel, galvanized, surge brakes, bunkers, keel support, double action winch w/stand, lights and mast raising gear which allows mast raising/lowering single handedly.

Max speed to weather around 6.1 knots (20+ knt true wind speed). Max speed on run around 8.2 knots (20+ knt true wind speed), per "polars".
